Supporting Homeless and Vulnerable people via Health, Housing and Work.
Stonepillow offers shelter, information and support to empower homeless and vulnerable individuals to make positive changes in their lives. We are the homeless charity for the Chichester and Arun Districts. Our services include a Night Shelter, Day Centre, Move-On Accommodation, the No-Second-Night-Out Team, a Residential Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre and a Social Enterprise Community Project that recycles furniture and white goods, and provides volunteering and training opportunities.
Why the community needs usStonepillow is fully committed to supporting people who find themselves sleeping rough on the streets, to providing them with access to safety, and to improving their well-being and preventing homelessness by breaking the cycles that lead people to insecure accommodation.
Our impact on the communityThe journey from Homelessness towards Recovery can be long and painful with many challenges and obstacles to conquer along the way. Providing the best possible outcome through Health, Housing and Work for our beneficiaries remains at the heart of every decision we make.
We have many volunteering opportunities at our charity. Roles can include admin assistants, lunchtime and evening cooks, gardening and property maintenance help, support workers and workshop leaders. In addition we have a variety of roles to assist our fundraising efforts, from event organisers, event stewards, street collectors, and even press and photography assistants. It's up to you how much time you volunteer. We are a small, friendly and supportive team - get in touch to find out more!
