Empowering children, young people & adults to achieve a life of fulfillment, security & dignity.
We aim as a charity to provide children, young people and adults alike to gain new skills, that will help them to live independently with dignity. A place where they can come and learn, socialise regardless of their disability. Creating an environment which caters for the individual and their specific interests and passions, we provide various levels of support and without our care, help and enthusiasm, many individuals would lead a very isolated lifestyle.
Why the community needs usChristopher Grange has often been referred to by its service users as a "lifeline" providing support, personal development and light at the end of the tunnel for adults who have experienced sight loss. It is a well recognised centre within the community and its achievements and care provided from throughout the years are highly valued. St Vincent's School provides children with sensory impairment and addit needs a safe haven where they can learn and develop with the correct equipment & tuition.
Our impact on the communityAs a result of the support and guidance our services offer we are helping to aid people with visual impairments to lead a fulfilled and independent lifestyle whilst also educating the wider community on how they could help make life easier for people with sight loss issues. This is vital as many people suffering from sight loss struggle to adjust to the simple daily tasks, the better experienced the community & services are the better we can aid and support those with sight loss.
We are looking to recruit volunteers to help us with our fundraising activities within St Vincent's School for children with sensory impairment and other needs and also Christopher Grange Rehabilitation which supports adults who have lost their sight, enabling them to lead an independent life.
