Groundbreaking new counselling service for cross culture/religious couples planning to marry
Al-Nasr has many years experience of dealing with domestic violence/forced marriage. We believe much of this can avoided by young couples(particularly those of different religious/cultural backgrounds) being able to understand before the marriage the potential difficulties that may lay ahead, we all know love is beautiful but is it sustainable when cultures clash within the marriage? - we can provide support and counselling to young couples so they are able to plan their lives with understanding
Why the community needs usWe do not confine our activity or help to a small section of the community, our services are free to everyone regardless of race, culture or religion, different people but in many cases the same problems affect all communities. However we have vast experience in dealing with any problems specific to ethnic groups. Our experience is available to all, we do not just talk about community cohesion we practice it.So whatever your background and whatever the problem we will do our best to help.
Our impact on the communityThe end results of domestic violence/forced marriage, bullying, drug addiction, bad marriage choices are the same for all cultures. Al-Nasr is unique in it's approach that whilst raising awareness and educating is necessary for all the techniques have to be applied differently to different cultures and religions for it to be accepted. All men and women are capable of domestic violence and bullying but the reasons they do so are very different and unless this addressed the cycle of abuse goes on.
Volunteers from all religions, cultures and backgrounds welcome to help with counselling of people planning to marry out of their religion or culture, Domestic Violence, Drug Addiction. Bullying New projects welcome, support given and encouraged for individuals with new ideas that help those in need.
