Technical Research intern

The project

We require an intern to undertake research on the best possible choice of payment provider to serve the growing needs of Localgiving.com. This will cover both web and mobile, and be comprehensive in the manner of payments (card payments, direct debit, payment by text).

The selection process of the payment provider will need to consider the richness of the user experience, and the commercial advantages afforded to Localgiving.com. Improving the donor experience is an important development for us, and will involve working closely with the business and engineering teams.

The intern will report to the Director of Technology.

Duration:

The project will take a minimum of one month, but could be extended, if other projects are identified.

Responsibilities:

• Design project plan
• Undertake desk research and interviews with current players in the market
• Write report and make recommendations

Qualifications and Experience:

• University degree or equivalent
• Any exposure to e-commerce solutions would be advantageous
• Ability to evaluate e-commerce API offerings would be beneficial

Desired characteristics:

• Good communicator, with excellent written and spoken English
• Able to represent Localgiving.com to external partners
