Purpose

For 23 years, working in partnership with the community, Lambeth Police and other agencies, the LSPT have enabled hundreds of 9 to 16 year old, disadvantaged young people to access a programme of recreational and educational activities each summer.

Why our community needs our service

We recognise the need to encourage over 750 young people to use their leisure time constructively, hence the need for the projects. The Projects always exceed the number of available places because of the limitation of available staff and funding.

Results and outcomes

Young people have the chance to stay safe, healthy and fit, get involved in decision making, increase self-worth and self-assurance, meet new friends and improve social and cultural understanding. Parents know children are in a safe environment.

Lambeth Summer Projects Trust

We endeavour to tackle the issues of crime, deprivation and poverty through diversionary means.
