Diamond Jubilee Appeal

When it was launched the Appeal aimed to raise at least £60,000 to commemorate 60 years of service and will enable us to underwrite a major project to upgrade the Phlebotomy (blood taking) Service at the hospital and ensure that we are able to continue to fund other equipment donations. The building works started in October 2015 and the Charity has now committed a total of £130,000 to the project which we hope to complete by the end of this our Diamond Jubilee Year. Thanks to the fantastic support we have enjoyed the Appeal has now received over £108,000. The Phlebotomy Service is the service most used by the community in and around Rugby. With approximately 6,000 patients per month the service has been under pressure for some time with patients often queuing outside a packed waiting room. The project will relocate the service to an area with dedicated access and double the capacity.
