Rampworx works with over 1000 disadvantaged, disaffected and disabled young people per week
Rampworx provides safe and secure facilities for over 1000 disadvantaged young people per week, aged 5 and over who partake in 'In Line' skating, BMX, Scootering and Skateboarding. The project, also offers local disadvantaged young people the opportunity to take part in alternative activities such a video arts, drama, and music. We also offer a range of development programmes around sexual health, drug and alcohol awareness and healthy eating.
Why the community needs usWe provide safe and secure facilities for young people aged 5 and up to get involved in a range of sporting activities and development programmes. Rampworx reduces crime and anti social behaviour, improves health and well-being, sign posts young people to other relevant services and HE/FE. We are also link in with other partner agencies, such as local police, NHS, Youth Service, Leisure Services, local schools and youth clubs, Aiming High and Sefton CVS to offer structured learning programmes.
Our impact on the communityRampworx exists to develop young people aged 5 and up. Each year we provide access to our sports to over 5000 young people. Our workshops develop over 200 young people per year. Our outreach projects engage over 3000 young people per year through a range of events and coaching schemes in disadvantaged communities throughout Merseyside using portable equipment. We have just secured funding to extend the exsiting facility by 15,000 square feet to accomodate an extra 500 young people per week.
Rampworx provides numerous volunteer opportunities; including administration, retail, coaching, ramp building, events, fundraising, photography and video.
